Prof. Dr. Erkin Öztaş, İstanbul ili Sarıyer ilçesindeki Acıbadem Maslak Hastanesi bünyesinde görev yapan bir gastroenteroloji uzmanıdır. Tıp eğitimini 1998 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi bünyesinde tamamlamıştır. Uzmanlık eğitimini 2004 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi İç Hastalıkları bünyesinde tamamlamıştır. Profesör akademik unvanına sahiptir. Kayıtta belirtilen başlıca ilgi alanları Crohn Hastalığı ve Ülseratif Kolit Tedavisi (İltihabi Bağırsak Hastalıkları), Endoskopi, Pankreas, Karaciğer ve Safra Yolları Hastalıkları (Karaciğer Yağlanması, Yetmezliği vb.), Endoskopik Mide Küçültme (Endoskopik Sleeve Gastroplasti - ESG) ve Endoskopik retrograd kolanjiyopankreatografi (ERCP) başlıklarıdır. Kayıtta 57 adet tarihli bilimsel etkinlik kaydı bulunmaktadır; en güncel kayıt 2021 yılına aittir.
